Brian's new dog is definitely a great edition to his business. When I spoke with him just recently, he told me that her coat is a very shiny black, and that when she lays where the light can reflect from it, it somehow throws off a gray tenge.

Some people when looking at her may accidentally mistake her for being gray, when in fact, she's black. Anyone who has a guide dog has a great companion. These animals are well trained to assist their blind masters to be more independent in their travels.

Even though these dogs aren't referred to as pets, guide dogs who live in family settings seam to fit in quite well. A matter of fact, they fit in in my personal opinion, much better than some pets do.

The reason being is because of the thousands of dollars worth of extensive training that these animals go through from the time that they're ppuppies til they finally are matched up with their new masters. Even after they're given to their new masters, the training still continues, but not in the way that it is done at the guide dog schools.

It is more in the form of constantly refreshing the dog on his, or her skills as a guide dog. However, it is totally up to the master to insure that the dog's training is well kept so that the dog can work their best in protecting their master from harm while traveling in this busy world of ours.

So Brian does indeed have a great companion beside him who actually helps him with his business by making sure that Brian gets to where he needs to go safely and in one piece.
